Sitting down to think of my educational influences what very interesting. It has taken me a long time to get where I am. However with all the education I have received in my BED, looking back on these influences critically helped me to develop and change my thinking witch will positively impact my behavior as a teacher. I realized how privileged my upbringing was, and that not everyone has that support or opportunities. As a teacher, I will have a community you can depend on in my class. I also realized how not seeing colour is not enough. I now see steps I need to take to ensure anti-racism in my class.
