First Peoples Principals of Learning

When I first started my Bachelors in Education and I seen this PDF hanging on the wall, I was so happy. Seeing the latter showed me that education has changed since I went to school. It means so much to me and my future teaching that the FPPLs are a part of the BC education. I feel so connected to them however like all Indigenous ways of knowing and being, I will continue to be respectful and appreciative calling upon elders and always searching for Indigenous resources. To me this shows that that colonials are excepting the wrong doing of the past, understanding the need for Traditional Knowledge. This is a big step towards reconciliation, as long as teachers start their lesson planning with Indigenous inspiration and not just saying it is along the line of these principles, when the planning is complete.
